Ocrolus is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Application Infrastructure & Backend division in India. Operating within an agile, remote-first environment, this role sits at the intersection of production fintech applications and state-of-the-art AI-native document processing workflows. You will take foundational ownership of architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable microservices and data pipelines that securely process millions of high-value transactional requests. As a technical leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional squads to define code best practices, select framework layers, optimize high-concurrency database schemas, and ensure absolute platform reliability for premier global clients like PayPal, Plaid, Square, and SoFi.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex enterprise systems and large-scale online backend architectures.
• Expert-level software development proficiency in Python, showing full competence in choosing optimal backend design patterns and modern web ecosystems (such as Flask).
• Solid database administration skills across relational structures (PostgreSQL, MySQL) combined with deep, practical data modeling experience handling multi-tenant transactional datasets.
• Direct familiarity deploying code within Amazon Web Services (AWS), managing containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), and configuring automated continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proven history of leading and owning multi-month engineering projects from initial requirement analysis and whiteboarding through to production release and testing optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong communicative clarity to provide architectural direction, review code blocks, and mentor junior software developers within cross-functional Scrum teams.
